January Retrospective

Part of this 366 blog thing is to write a monthly retrospective. I really like a lot of my photos, particularly my use of light in them. I'm noticing a real problem with going out and taking photographs, though. My camera goes everywhere that I go, but it rarely leaves its bag. Nineteen of the thirty-one photos were taken in my bedroom. That's about two-thirds and I'm rather frustrated at that fraction. I think it says more about my personality than about my photography skills.

Overall, this project isn't as easy as I thought it would be. There are some days that I am laying in bed when I realize that I've not photographed anything or that I've only photographed my kids at school. A lot of the photos I'm unhappy with are the ones that were taken just because I needed a photo. Perhaps I should try a February resolution to get more shots outside of my room. I'm putting a one-third cap on it for the month. Of course, this may mean that you end up with photographs of my bathroom, but Mark might like that. My shower curtain matches the curtains in my bedroom.
